Gina Lang is this month's feature. Many of you will know Gina as the little ball of fire that is very involved in the local community in numerous capacities. On top of her busy schedule as a mother, wife and community advocate, Gina has helped dozens upon dozens of people lose weight and improve their health through Day One, her own wellness and nutrition business.
Gina has lost a lot of weight herself but came to me hoping to increase her metabolism. Four years ago, she had a resting metabolic rate (RMR) of 1040. She was able to get that number up to 1140 on her own just prior to beginning training. In the last 7 months, she has been able to push that number all the way to 1290 with just two 30 minute sessions per week.
Gina was also recovering from knee surgery when she began training. At that time she was only able to run 30 seconds at a time on the treadmill. Now she is able to run a full mile continuously outdoors, just in time for the beautiful spring weather.
Gina now has her sights set on running 5k's and pushing her RMR even higher. Knowing Gina I have no doubt she will accomplish those goals before setting new ones. I'm just happy to help her along in her journey.
