Pacific Burgers

Pacific Burgers are a great alternative to a typical cheeseburger. Pacific Burgers are similar nutritionally to cheeseburgers with three very notable differences. They have 400 mg less sodium, 7 g less saturated fat and 9 g more protein. Additionally they taste pretty damn good and add variety to the normal American diet.

Now many of my culinary creations are met with a lot of skepticism from Jessica and this recipe is no different, but as soon as she tasted them, that all changed. That actually isn't uncommon in our household as I like to experiment and Jessica is a little less adventurous with food (not that they always turn out so well, but this one did)

So here is what you need:

Alaskan Pollock Burgers (I got a big package of these cheap from Gordon Food Service in Lexington)

one package of Kroger Cream Cheese & Greek Yogurt

Pineapple

Hamburger Buns

Hot Sauce (optional)

Spray a non-stick pan with Pam and fry the burgers about 4 or 5 minutes on each side on medium heat. Spread the cream cheese/yogurt on your buns. Add the burgers and pineapple. The heat from the burger will make the cream cheese/yogurt melt into creamy deliciousness. Add a little hot sauce if you like the extra kick. That's all there is to the very flavorful sandwich. Enjoy.
