Monthly Feature for January 2017

Cory Johnson began working with me way back in February of 2015. Choosing him as my monthly feature has been long over-due.

Cory is happily married with two lively children. He enjoys spending time with his family, and is a very social guy. He works full-time and is very involved in his church and community in various capacities. The point I'm trying to get across is that Cory lives a full, well-rounded, rewarding life, and yet has made exercise an important part of that balance.

Most folks with his busy schedule would use that as an easy excuse to skip workouts or forget physical fitness altogether. However, I can't remember Cory ever missing a workout in 2 years.

Cory typically sees me just once per week, but usually does some form of exercise everyday. At our sessions we work on improving strength and general fitness, while learning new exercises and mastering technique. While he doesn't like every prescribed exercise or stretch, he is always willing to try new things. His all-around athleticism and good-humor have made him a lot of fun to train.

After a short stint of heavier weight-training he was able to deadlift 300 pounds and bench press 225 pounds, which are impressive numbers for a smaller guy. His consistency and dedication have kept him steadily improving, and allow him to keep his health while enjoying a variety of sporting activities, often undertaken with the vigor of a teenager. It is my pleasure to continue aiding Cory with his future endeavors.
